Memitim are a band from Maine that plays a progressive form of black metal and this is a review of their self released 2021 ep "Plasma".
Night sounds start off the ep along with some bass guitar leads a few seconds later while also introducing grim yet high pitches black metal screams onto the recording which also takes the music into a heavier direction. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very dark yet melodic style.
At times the music also gets very progressive sounding while one of the tracks is also very long and epic in length. Soundscapes can also be heard briefly along with all of the music sticking to either a slow or mid tempo direction along with one of the songs also adding in a brief use of synths, death metal growls can also be heard briefly as well as a small amount of clear vocals.
Memitum plays a style of black metal that is very progressive and mid tempo sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover dark themes.
In my opinion Memitim are a very great sounding progressive black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Riding Denwen's Tail". 8 out of 10.
