Krigere Wolf are a band from Italy that plays a mixture of black and death metal and this is a review of their 2019 album "Eternal Holocaust" which will be released in April by Lower Silesian Stronghold.
A very dark synth orientated intro starts off the album along with some rain, thunder, horse and battle sounds before going into more of a heavier direction. During the faster sections of the songs a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can also be heard which also gives the music more of a raw feeling.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very raw and melodic style while all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them. Vocals also bring in a mixture of grim black metal screams and deep death metal growls while the riffs also bring in a great amount of melody.
A lot of the music is very heavily influenced by the Swedish black metal style while the death metal elements makes the music stand out a lot more. Spoken word parts can also be heard briefly as well as the music also adding in a great amount of post apocalyptic atmospheres and they close the album with a cover of Dissection's "Night Blood" which also adds in a brief use of classical guitars. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover war, death, violence and blasphemy themes.
In my opinion Krigere Wolf are a very great sounding mixture of black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Eternal Holocaust" and "Vision Of Death". 8 out of 10.
