Perversor are a band from Chile that plays a very raw and old school mixture of black, death and thrash metal and this is a review of their 2019 album "Umbravorous" which will be released in March by Pulverised Records.
A very fast and raw sound starts off the album along with a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Vocals bring in a good mixture of black metal screams and death metal growls along with some of the riffing also capturing the brutality of the later mentioned genre.
A great amount of thrash elements can also be heard quite a bit throughout the recording while some of the riffing also adds evil sounding melodies into the music. A great amount of 80's and 90's influences can also be heard quite a bit throughout the recording but done with a more modern and brutal approach.
At times the speeds off the music almost borders on the raw aggression of war metal as well as most of the music sticking to mostly fast, raw and aggressive sound along with only a few seconds of mid tempo sections being utilized throughout the recording. The production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism and Apocalyptic themes.
In my opinion Perversor are a very great sounding raw and aggressive mixture of black, death and thrash metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Dwell" "Military Industry Complex" "Virtual Antropophagy" and "DMT". 8/5 out of 10.
