Indirect Euthanasia are a solo project from Mexico that plays a very depressive form of black metal and this is a review of his 2020 album "Sad Li(f)e New Version which was released by Entocomophobic Records.
Acoustic guitar playing starts of the album while all of the drum beats are also programmed. A couple of the tracks are also very long and epic in length along with some keyboards also being added into some parts of the recording and they also give the songs more of an atmospheric feeling.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style while most of the tracks are also instrumentals. One of the songs is also a Lifelover cover which also introduces melodic riffing and spoken word parts onto the recording and when vocals are utilized they are mostly depressive black metal screams .
Touches of shoegaze and post rock also being utilized at times along with all of the songs also stick to a slower direction as well as all of the musical instruments also having a very powerful sound to them. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness and depression themes.
In my opinion Indirect Euthanasia are a very great sounding depressive black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "When She Leave" "Hurt" and "How".8 out of 10.
