Awe are a band from Greece that plays an occult form of black metal and this is a review of their 2015 album "Providenta" which will be released in November by Pulverised Records.
A very atmospheric sound starts off the album along with some clean playing that also bring depressive melodies onto the recording and all 3 of the tracks are very long and epic in length and once the music gets heavier it also brings in a good mixture of melodic riffs and leads along with a great amount of avant garde and experimental elements.
Once the music speeds up the music goes for more of a raw black metal style along with blast beats and grim screams and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and you can also hear a lot of complex parts in the riffing and you can also hear synths in some parts of the songs and at times the vocal get very deep at times, while the music gets more progressive as time goes on by while remaining true to a raw black metal style which also brings in a more modern take of the genre and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Awe plays a style of black metal that is very raw and complex and also takes the genre to a different level and also adds more of a progressive style of playing to this genre, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover the conceptual ideology of Man and Universe.
In my opinion Awe are a very great sounding occult black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Actus Purus". 8 out of 10.
