Orgiastic Pleasures are a band from Italy that plays a bestial mixture of black, death and war metal and this is a review of their 2014 album "Manifesto Barbarico" which was released by Nightbreaker Productions.
A very dark and evil horror soundtrack style of sound starts off the album along with some spoken word samples and after a minute the music goes into a heavier direction along with all of the musical instruments sounding very powerful as well as some evil whispers that evolve into more ritualistic shouts.
When high pitched screams are added into the music they become a very huge part of the music along with some depressive cries being utilized at times and you can also hear synths in some parts of the songs along with some war samples and once the music speeds up it goes for a very fast and raw black/war metal sound along with the fast parts using a great amount of blast beats and the riffs at times also bring in a small amount of dark sounding melodies.
Bestial growls can be heard quite a bit throughout the recording and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the slower riffs adding in a heavy dose of 90's style doom/death metal and the solos and leads remain true to a very raw and chaotic style of black/war metal when they are utilized and the samples in between songs makes the album as a whole have more of an occult atmosphere.
Orgiastic Pleasures plays a style of bestial black/war metal that is very heavily rooted in the 90's and also mixes in elements of death and doom metal while also being a bit more ritualistic and experimental than most bands of this genre, the production sounds very dark, raw and old school while the lyrics are written in a mixture of Italian and English and cover Hate, War, Sex, Perversion, Evil, Occultism, Black Magick, and Anti Religion themes.
In my opinion Orgiastic Pleasures are a very great sounding raw and bestial mixture of black, war and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Vomit On The Cross" "And the Gates Of Hell Opened" and "Blessed In Necromancy". 8 out of 10.
