Crimson Moon are a band with members from the United States and Germany that h as been interviewed before in this zine and plays an occult form of black metal and this is a review of their 2019 album "Mors Vincit Omnia" which will be released in August by Debembur Morti Productions.
Ritualistic sounding bells and soundscapes start off the album before going into a heavier direction along with the vocals being mostly grim black metal screams. Melodies can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing while the faster sections of the songs also add in a decent amount of blast beats.
Clean vocals can also be heard in some parts of the music while the synths also enhance the ritualistic atmosphere of the recording. Throughout the album you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and most of the tracks are very long and epic in length and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very melodic style.
All of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them as well as one track also introducing clean playing and spoken word parts onto the recording and at times the music also captures an avant garde vibe and the album also ads in some quest appearances from members of Absu, Archgoat, Demoncy and Kawir. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics are a concept album based upon Azrael: Angel of Death, Destruction and Renewel.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Crimson Moon and if you are a fan of occult black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Altars of Azrael" "Trinity Of Fates" and "Funeral begotten". 8/5 out of 10.
