This is a review of another re-issue from Romania's Ordinul Negru which was also in a raw and atmospheric misanthropic black metal direction and the album was originally released in 2008 and called "lifeless"with the re-issuing being released in 2019 by Loud Rage Music.
A very dark and heavy sound along with some atmospheric sounding synths start off the album. Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams while the solos and leads are done in a very melodic style and a great portion of the tracks are very long and epic in length and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Most of the music is very heavily rooted in the 90's style while the faster sections of the songs also add in a decent amount of tremolo picking and blast beats which also gives the music more of a raw feeling and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and as the album progresses the riffs also start adding in a small amount of melody, spoken words and clean playing are also added on the closing track.
In this recording Ordinul Negru played a synth orientated style of black metal that was very heavily rooted in the 90's era. The production sounds very dark, raw and old school while the lyrics cover darkness, misanthropy, nature and occult themes.
In my opinion this was another great sounding recording from Ordinul Negra and if you are a f an of 90's era synth orientated atmospheric black metal, you should check out this re-issue. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Wolves From The Ancient Forest" "Eve Tales" "Snow Covers The Blood of The Warrior" and "Through The Frosted Wood To The Sacred Sign Of Despair". 8 out of 10.
