Moon And Azure Shadow are a solo project from Los Angeles, California that plays a very atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of his self released 2019 album "Age of Darkness And Frost".
Epic sounding keyboard start off the album along with the music also adding in elements of dungeon synth and capturing the atmosphere of a fantasy movie soundtrack. as well as the solos and leads being done in a very melodic style and the vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams.
Some of the tracks are very long and epic in length along with some spoken word parts also being used at times. When the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can also be heard while some of the tracks are also instrumentals as well as the songs also adding in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the music also adds in a good amount of programmed beats.
Moon And Azure Shadow plays a style of black metal that is very epic and atmospheric sounding along with some elements of dungeon synth, The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover dark and metaphysical themes.
