Dore are a band from Poland that plays a very atmospheric form of black metal and this is a review of their self titled and self released 2019 album which will be released in October.
Chain sounds start off the album along with some melodic guitar leads a few seconds later along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them. The riffs also add in a decent amount of melody along with the vocals also being mostly grim black metal screams.
Clean playing can also be heard in certain sections of the recording along with the music also having its atmospheric moments. Some of the music also shows a 90's era Swedish influence along with all of the songs always sticking to a slow or mid tempo direction, melodic chanting vocals can also be heard briefly. and keyboards and clean playing are also introduced on the closing track
Doe plays a style of black metal that is very atmospheric and melodic sounding. The production sounds very old school while the lyrics are a concept album based upon Lucipher and his attempt on taking on God foe eons in Hell.
In my opinion Dore are a very great sounding atmospheric and melodic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Into The Night" and "There Is Nothing". 8 out of 10.
