Nupta Cadavera are a band from Denmark that plays an old school form of black metal and this is a review of their self titled 2019 ep which will be released on September 15th by Nuclear War Now! Productions.
A very dark and raw sound starts off the ep while the riffs also add in a decent amount of melody. A lot of the music is also very heavily rooted in the 90's while the vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams and keyboards are also added into some parts of the music.
When the music finally speeds up a small amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the song it is presented on more of a raw feeling while the music focuses more on a mid tempo direction. A lot of the music also sounds like it could of easily been recorded and released during the 90's.
Nupta Cadevera plays a style of black metal that is very raw and traditional sounding as well as being very heavily rooted in the 90's. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover dark and metaphysical themes.
In my opinion Nupta Cadavera are a very great sounding old school black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Metaphysical Cruelty". 8 out of 10.
