Blasphamagoatachrist are an international band with members from Brazil and Canada that has had music reviewed before in this zine and on this recording plays a bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2020 album "Bastardizing The Purity" which will be released in April by Nuclear War Now! Productions.
A very dark, ritualistic and war orientated sounding intro starts off the album which also uses a small amount of synths while also introducing chaotic sounding guitar leads which later become a very huge part of the recording. The music also brings in a great amount of 90's influences.
When the music speeds up it goes for more of a raw war metal style which also uses a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats.Vocals are mostly done in a very angry black metal style along with the music also mixing in a great amount of death metal elements and the songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast part.
, As the album progresses a couple of intros are also added between a couple of songs as well as the music mostly sticking to more of a brutal style as well as a small amount of melody also being added into the guitar riffing briefly. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover war, blasphemy, death and occultism themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Blaspamagoatachrist and if you are a fan of war, bestial black and death metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Bastardizing The Purity" "Death Alchemy" and "Fire Demons Of Blokula". 8 out of 10.
