Witchfuck are a band from Poland and on this recording plays a mixture of black, death, thrash metal and punk and this is a review of their 2021 album "Black Blood Baptism" which was released by Godz of War Productions.
A very dark and apocalyptic sounding synth orientated intro starts off the album while also introducing grim sounding black metal screams and demonic growls onto the recording before going into a heavier direction. The faster sections of the songs also add in a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats which also gives the music more of a raw feeling.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while death metal growls are also utilized at times. Elements of thrash metal are also added into some of the guitar riffing along with the riffs also having their angry moments as well as some dark sounding melodies also being added into some of the guitar riffing.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very dark yet chaotic style as well as having their melodic moments along with the music also capturing the raw energy of punk rock at times, some of the riffing also adds in touches of black'n'roll, as the album progresses the synths also make a brief return and a later song also adds in a brief use of clean playing and the album also closes with a cover of Behemoth's "Pure Evil And Hate". The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism and Blasphemy themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Witchfuck and if you are a fan of black, death, thrash metal and punk, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "March of Doom" "Sulfur Goat" "Hailing To the Stars" and "Sabbath of Unholy Lust". 8 out of 10.
