Nekrokrist SS are a band from Finland that plays a very raw and primitive form of satanic black metal and this is a review of their 2012 album "Der Todesking" which was released by Primitive Reaction.
"Perkeleesta Syntynyt" begins with military style drums and world war II anthems which are followed by a gun blast which leads to some blast beats, fast, raw and primitive black metal guitar riffs and the grim screams kick in shortly after that as well as the song switching back and forth between mid paced and fast along wit many different riffs.
"Crematory Hymn (Burn In Hell)" begins with some primitive guitar riffs and fast drums along with some grim vocals kicking in shortly after that before going into a more old school 90's direction for a few seconds than returning to the opening riff and doing switches back and forth between both riffs.
"Satan Calls Your Name" begins with some mid paced black metal guitar riffs, bass guitars and drums which lead to some grim screams and as the song moves on many other styles of primitive riffs are brought into the music before speeding up for awhile and adding in some blast beats for a few seconds then going into a slower direction.
'Kuolontanssi" begins with blast beats, fast and primitive guitar riffs which lead to some grim sounding high pitched screams and as the song moves on the riffs get more diverse while remaining pure black metal.
"Vala" begins with blast beats, fast and primitive guitar riffs and high pitched screams and the music slows down for a few seconds before heading into a more mid paced direction along with some powerful bass guitars which leads to the return of the faster riffs and as the song moves on it switches back and forth between slow, mid paced and fast.
"Kirous" begins with some fast guitar riffs and drums along with some high pitched screams kicking in a few seconds later and after awhile t he song goes into a mid paced direction before switching back and forth between the mid paced and fast parts while also changing around the riffs at times as well as the bass guitars getting heavy for a few seconds.
"Der Todesking" begins with some mid paced guitar and bass riffs and drums before slowing down and adding in some melody which leads to some high pitched screams kicking in and as the song moves on the riffs get more diverse and primitive sounding.
Song lyrics are written in a mixture of English and Finnish and cover Satanism, Genocide, and Torture, while the production has a very dark, heavy raw and primitive sound in the old school black metal tradition.
In my opinion Nekrokrist SS are a very great sounding raw and primitive satanic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Perkeleesta Syntynyt" "Satan Calls Your Name" and "KIrous". RECOMMENDED BUY.
