Tyrant Goatgaldrakona are a duo from Hungary that has been featured before in this zine and plays a bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2019 ep "Marquis Of Evil" which was released by Blood Harvest Records.
A very fast, raw and brutal war metal sound starts off the ep which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Vocals are mostly bestial death metal growls while dark sounding melodies can also be heard in some of t he riffing and the music also has a great amount of 90's influences.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the music also mixes in a great amount of black metal elements. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in more of an old school death metal style along with all of the musical instruments on the recording also having a very powerful sound to them, touches of doom/death metal can also be heard in t he slower sections of the songs.
On this recording Tyrant Goatgaldrakona remains true to to the bestial mixture of war, black and death metal from their previous releases as well as focusing more on the death metal side of their music. The production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics cover Occultism and Darkness themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Tyrant Goatgaldrakona and if you are a fan of bestial war, black and death metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "The Seventh Throne". 8 out of 10.
