Antissocial are a solo project from Brazil that plays a very experimental and suicidal form of depressive black metal and this is a review of his self titled 2020 ep which was released by Entocomophobic Records.
Clean playing and programmed drum beats start off the ep before going into a heavier direction. Vocals are mostly high pitched depressive black metal screams while the guitar solos and leads are also done in a very melodic style along with the music also getting very experimental sounding at times and all of the tracks also stick to a slow or mid tempo musical direction, touches of depressive rock can also be heard at times.
Antissocial plays a style of suicidal and depressive black metal that is very lo-fi and experimental sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Portuguese and cover depression and suicide themes.
In my opinion Antissocial are a very great sounding experimental, suicidal and depressive black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Desassossego". 8 out of 10.
