Blood Torrent are a band from Germany that plays a no compromise style of black'n'roll and this is a review of their self released 2020 single"The Cosmic Breakdown".
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the single while also introducing elements of black'n'roll onto the recording. Melodies can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing while the vocals are mostly angry sounding black metal screams along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very old school rock/metal style. When the music speeds up briefly a decent amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the recording more of a raw feeling and both of the tracks also add in a decent mixture of both mid tempo and fast parts as well as always sticking to a heavier direction.
Blood Torrewnt plays a style of black'n'roll that is very aggressive and more true to the classic black metal style than most bands of this genre, The production sounds very powerful for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover social criticism, apocalypse and physic themes.
In my opinion Blood Torrent are a very great sounding black'n'roll band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this single. RECOMMENDED TRACK "The Cosmic breakdown". 8 out of 10.
