Graveir are a band from Australia that plays a very bleak and mournful style of melodic, riff driven black metal and this is a review of their 2020 album "King Of The Silent World"which will be released in April 17th by Impure Sounds.
A very dark heavy and melodic sound starts off the album while the solos and leads also add in a great amount of melody. Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams along with the faster sections of the songs also adding in a lot of tremolo picking and blast beats which also gives the tracks more of a raw feeling.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them. Dark soundscapes are also added at the end of each song along with some of the tracks also being very long and epic in length and the music also brings in more of a modern style of black metal, as the album progresses a brief use of deep growls can also be heard as well as some atmospheric touches.
Graveir plays a style of black metal that is very mournful, bleak, melodic and riff driven. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover death, madness, decay and mythological themes.
In my opinion Graveir are a very great sounding mournful, bleak, melodic and riff driven black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Charnel Bacchanalia" "Bathed In Acheron" "Waiting.." and "Father, Devourer". 8 out of 10.
