Fuil na Seanchoille are a solo project from Ireland that plays a very raw and epic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2019 album "The Crossing" which will be released in November as a joint effort between Me Saco Un Ojo and Tour de Garde.
Female vocals start off the album and also adds in elements of Irish folk music while acoustic guitars are also added into the music briefly. Ocean sounds are also used for a few seconds as well as some clean playing also being utilized at times and after awhile powerful sounding bass guitars also start making their presence known.
When the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking can be heard which also gives the music more of a raw feeling. Vocals are mostly crazy sounding black metal screams while the solos and leads are done in a very melodic style and the only track on the album is 28 minutes and divided into 4 different segments.
Full na Seanchoille plays a style of black emtal that is very raw, original and epic sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover history, genocide and vengeance themes.
In my opinion Fuil na Seanchoille are a very great sounding raw and epic black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. 8 out of 10.
