Arnaut Pavle are a band from Finland that plays a very raw and primitive form of black metal with eleemnts of punk and this is a review of their self titled 2013 demo which was released by Vlad Tepes.
"Unorthodox Funeral Procession" begins with some raw and primitive black metal guitar riffs mixed in with some drums, grim screams and fast punk elements and after a while guitar leads make their way into the song.
'Drop The Coffin" begins with some fast and primitive guitar riffing along with some drums and vocals and halfway through the song the music goes more into a mid paced direction along with some punk rock style guitar leads and powerful bass guitars.
'Eat The Soil From This Grave" begins with some powerful bass guitars before the rhythm guitar riffs and drums start kicking in and a few seconds after grim vocals are added into the song along with some hateful sounding elements and towards the end the music goes into a more fast and primitive black metal/punk direction along with a brief use of guitar solos and leads before going into a more mid paced direction.
"Massgraves Call" begins with some fat and primitive guitar riffing and drums and a few seconds alter grim vocals make their presence known in this song and after a minute melodies are added into the guitar riffing along with some blast beats.
"Skeletonized By A Demon" begins with some fast and primitive Norwegian style black metal guitar riffs and d rums along with some grim screams and blast beats and after a minute the music slows down and adds in some heavy bass guitar and guitar leads before getting fast and primitive again.
''Unless A Man Truly Dies" begins with some heavy old school black metal guitar riffs and drums and then the grim vocals start kicking in and after a minute the music starts slowing down a bit and adds in some powerful bass guitars and guitar leads.
"Answer" begins with some psychedelic sounding synths before the guitar riffs, drums and vocals start kicking in along with some melody and bass guitars and then the music slows down for a couple of seconds before switching back and forth between mid paced and slow parts.
Song lyrics cover darkness and funeral themes, while the production has a very dark, raw and primitive sound while you can still h ear all of the musical instruments that are present on this demo.
In my opinion Arnaut Pavle are a very great sounding raw and primitive black metal band with elements of punk and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Eat The Soil From This Grave" and "Unless A Man Truly Dies". RECOMMENDED BUY.
