This is a review of another demo from Grievance with the music being a raw and primitive form of black metal with the recording being self released in 2007 and called "The new Millennium Sessions".
"The Rotten Empire" begins with some experimental sounds and a few seconds later the primitive black metal guitar riffs, bass and drums start kicking in along with some blast beats and deeper black metal vocals and a few seconds later blast beats start coming in and out of the song before going into a slower direction and towards the end the vocals get a little bit more grim and higher pitched and the song closes with another blast beat.
"Lust For Battle" begins with some drums and fast and primitive guitar riffs and after awhile the bass guitars start kicking in and the song goes into a more mid paced and slower direction while also adding the fast parts back in certain sections of the song.
Song lyrics are written in their native tongue and cover history and cultural themes, while the production has a very dark, raw and primitive sound while you can still hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion this is another great sounding demo from Grievance and if you are a fan of raw and primitive sounding black metal, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACK "The Rotten Empire". RECOMMENDED BUY.
