Svartedauden are a band from Ukraine that plays a very experimental, hateful, raw and primitive form of black metal and this is a review of their 2013 ep "Scorn" which was released by Dipsomaniac Records.
"Demolish" begins with some experimental sound effects, drums and fast and primitive black metal guitar riffs as well as some blast beats and after awhile grim black metal vocals start comign into the song as well as some industrial elements.
"Mock" begins with some experimental noise sounds and human torture sounds before the brutal blast beats and heavy black metal guitar riffs kick in along with the ambient, noise, and industrial sounds and in certain sections you can hear a small amount of guitar leads being utilized along with some black metal vocals that are mixed down low in the mix and towards the end the song goes into a more experimental drone direction.
"Deflower" begins with some noise sounds which also leads up to some heavy guitar riffs and drums which also utilize some blast beats along with some primitive elements and in certain sections you can hear some demonic vocals as well as the experimental, industrial and noise sounds coming in and out.
"Violate" begins with some experimental sounds, grim black metal vocals and drum beats before adding in some primitive and brutal guitar riffs as well as blast beats while also having all the avant garde and experimental sounds coming in and out of the song and at times the guitar riffing utilizes some melody and towards the end there is a brief use of acoustic guitars before the song starts getting brutal again.
Song themes cover darkness and hatred, while the production has a very dark, heavy, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Svatedauden are a a very great sounding hybrid of experimental, noise, industrial and primitive black metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Demolish" and "Violate". RECOMMENDED BUY.
