Syphilitic Lust are a band from New York that plays a very sleazy form of black metal and this is a review of their self released 2010 cassette demo.
"SadoChrist" begins with heavy and primitive black metal guitar riffs and riffs which lead up to some high pitched grim sounding screams before going into a more mid paced direction but speeding up with some powerful bass guitars and blast beats in certain sections along with a small amount of melodic guitar riffing and towards the end the music goes into a slower direction.
"Wolves" begins with some old school sounding black metal guitar riffs which lead up to some drums and grim sounding screams and the song combines influences from both the first and second waves of black metal.
"Sociopath" begins with heavy guitar and bass riffs before adding in blast beats and black metal screams which leads to a more fast and brutal direction and towards the end the music goes into a slower direction.
"Flesh Of Light" begins with some heavy and primitive old school black metal guitar riffs and drums and after awhile grim screams start making their way in the song and th e riffing ranges from mid paced to fast
Song lyrics cover Anti Christian, Dark and Sleaze themes, while the production has a very dark, old school, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Syphilitic Lust are a very great sounding sleazy black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "SadoChrist" and "Sociopath". RECOMMENDED BUY.
