This is the final review of a recording from Nethervoid with the musical style being a melodic, raw and primitive form of anti christian, occult black metal with the album being called "In Swarms Of Godless Wrath" and being released in 2012 by Possession Productions.
"Iowa Black Mass" begins with some ritualistic sound effects and tortured human sounds as well as some synths and this song serves as an intro for the album".
"Empty Field Eloquence" begins with some blast beats, fast and primitive guitar riffs and high pitched black metal screams which also utilize some grim elements and after a couple of minutes the music starts slowing down and added in some melodic guitar riffing before speeding up again and you can hear some bass guitars in the background as well as the song switching back and forth between fast and slow parts along with a brief use of guitar solos and leads.
''Burn Pit Purge" begins with some heavy black metal guitar and bass riffs before the blast bits, fast and primitive riffing and high pitched screams start kicking in which leads to the music switching back and forth between slow and fast parts a s well as adding in some melody in t he guitars and after guitar leads start coming in and out of the song and towards the end there is a brief use of soft clean guitar playing.
"Places Silent And Back" begins with some modern day sounding black metal guitar riffs and drums as well as some grim screams and vocals before adding some melody into the guitar riffing along with some powerful bass in the background which leads to the music switching back and forth between mid paced and fast parts a s well as adding in some slower sections in certain parts of the song.
''Burial Bluffs" begins with some dark guitar riffs before adding in heavy parts along with some drums and bass guitars and then it goes into a fast and primitive direction along with some grim sounding high pitched screams an d after awhile t he music starts switching back and forth between slow, mid paced and fast as well as a brief use of guitar solos and leads.
"In Swarms Of Godless Wrath" begins with some drum beats before adding in some bass guitars and melodic guitar riffs and leads and the music is all instrumental.
"Become Bone" begins with some melodic sounding guitar leads which leads up to some grim black metal vocals, blast beats and primitive guitar riffs as well as switching back and forth between slow and fast parts as well as the leads coming in and out of the song and towards the end there is a brief use of deep death metal growls being utilized.
'Torch The Temple" begins with some heavy guitar and bass riffing along with some drums and a few seconds alter grim black metal vocals, dark sounding melodies and blast beats start coming in before a dding in mid paced and slow sections as well as being fast in certain parts and towards the end there is a brief use of melodic sounding Gregorian chants.
Song lyrics cover Anti Christian and Occult themes, while the production has a very strong, powerful and heavy sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Nethervoid and if you are a fan of anti christian, occult black metal, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Burn Pit Purge" "Burial Bluffs" and "Torch The Temple". RECOMMENDED BUY.
