Sxuperion are a 1 man band from Mammoth Lakes, California that plays a very raw and primitive form of satanic black metal and this is a review of his self released 2003 ep "Pillars Unearthed".
"Pillars Unearthed" begins with fast, raw and primitive black metal guitar riffs, blast beats and grim sounding screams along with some atmospheric elements in the background and after awhile the music slows down and goes into a more mid paced direction along with some guitar riffing and dark sounding synths before going back to a faster direction.
"Hail Satan" begins with some drum beats and lo-fi black metal guitar riffs before getting a lot more heavy and fast along with some blast beats and after a minute grim sounding screams start coming into the song and after awhile you can hear some dark sounding melody in certain sections of the song.
"Cold" begins with some nature sounds before adding in some drum beats, primitive black metal guitar riffs and grim screams along with some dark sounding melodies and after awhile the music starts getting heavier along with some weird sounding guitar leads being utilized in certain sections.
Song lyrics cover Satanism and Darkness themes, while the production has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Sxuperion are a very great sounding raw and primitive satanic black metal project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Hail Satan". RECOMMENDED.
