Zinumm are a 1 man band from Spain that has been featured before in this zine with the musical style on this recording being black metal mixed with dark ambient, drone and folk music and this is a review of his self released 2013 ep "OUVEASOLITARIO /LEBEN, LEBEN".
"OUVEA, OUVEA, SOLITARIO (TENHO, LOBOS, TENHO SOMBRAS)" begins with some drone sounds before some raw and primitive black metal guitar riffs start kicking in along with some synths and melodic clean singing vocals and after awhile drum beats and grim sounding screams start making their a way into the song as well as some melodic guitar riffing and halfway through the song the music starts getting a lot more faster and atmospheric sounding and towards the end acoustic guitars are brought into into song and add in elements of folk music as well as bringing in other folk instruments.
"LEBEN, LEBEN" begins with some tribal drumming before the folk instruments start kicking in along with some synths and melodic clean singing vocals
Song lyrics are written in Gaellic and cover European Folklore, while the production has a very dark, raw and primitive sound with the first song being very long and epic in length.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Zinumm and if you are a fan of black metal mixed with dark ambient, drone and folk, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "OUVEA, OUVEA, SOLITARIO (TENHO, LOBOS, TENHO SOMBRAS)". RECOMMENDED BUY.
