GodHater are a band from Russia that plays a very raw, old school and satanic form of "Blasphemia" which was released as a joint effort between Satanath Records, Dark East Productions and Grotesque Sounds Productions.
A very heavy sound starts off the album along with some demonic vocals which leads up to more of a black metal direction and once the grim high pitched screams kick in the music goes into more of a fast and raw direction along with a great amount of blast beats and clean playing can be heard in certain sections of the recording.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and some of the riffs bring in elements of thrash and some of the tracks are very long and epic in length and the solos and leads also add in a melodic sound and some of the riffs also utilize melody and some tracks also bring in a small amount of growls and as the album spoken word parts can be heard briefly and they bring in a war like feeling to the recording and there is a brief use of clean playing and they also bring in a cover of Unlord's "Angel Of Fire".
GodHater plays a style of black metal that goes back to the mid 90's aggressive and raw sound, the production sounds very heavy while the lyrics are written in Russian and cover Satanism and Hate themes.
In my opinion GodHater are a very great sounding old school satanic black metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out their recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Spirit Of The Crucifixion" "The Departed" "I Choose Darkness" and "GodHater". 8 out of 10.
