Zloslut are a band from Serbia that plays a very raw and old school form of occult black metal and this is a review of their 2015 album " U Transu Sa Nepoznatim Siluetama" which was released as a joint effort between Dark Chants Productions and Winterblast Hails.
A very dark, melodic and distorted sound starts off the album along with some grim black metal screams and after the intro the music goes for more of a raw and old school style of the genre along with all of the musical instruments sounding very powerful and guitar leads that also utilize a great amount of melody.
When the music speeds up a great amount of blast beats can be heard and a good portion of the tracks are very long and epic in length and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while t he vocals also get very high pitched at times and you can also hear ambient synths and melodic Gregorian chants at times.
Some of the heavier riffs also bring in a touch of thrash into some parts of the songs along with a touch of traditional metal and as the album progresses a brief use of clean singing can be heard and there a re also a couple of instrumental tracks while one song brings in a brief use of female vocals and depressive screams while the main focus remains more on a very raw style of black metal and classical guitars are added onto the outro.
Zloslut plays a style of occult black metal that is very raw and old school while also mixing in different elements to make the songs stand out a bit more, the production sounds very dark, raw, heavy and old school while the lyrics are written in Serbian and cover Misanthropy, Death, Depression, Occultism and Evil themes.
In my opinion Zloslut are a very great sounding raw and old school, occult black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album> RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Kletva Ozaloscenog" "Ukleta" and "Istinska Odanost". 8 out of 10.
