Dauden are a band from Norway that plays a very raw form of Norwegian black metal and this is a review of their self released 2015 album "My Soul Will Be Damned Forever".
A very dark and mysterious black metal sound starts off the album and it adds in more of a fast and raw style a few seconds later along with a great amount of blast beats and you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Vocals are mostly grim black metal and the music is very true to a Norwegian style of black metal along with some black'n'roll elements being utilized at times and the riffs also add melodies in some parts of the songs along with some atmospheric sounds and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and when solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very dark yet melodic fashion and there is also a brief use of classical guitars as the album progresses and some of the tracks are long and epic in length and you can also hear spoken word parts for a few seconds on one track.
Dauden plays a style of black metal that is very fast and also brings back the Norwegian style to the way it was meant to be played, the production sounds very raw yet heavy at the same time while the lyrics cover The Plague, History, Hell and Death themes.
In my opinion Dauden are a very great sounding raw Norwegian black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "My Soul Will Be Damned Forever" "God Did Not Create Us" and "The Sign of the Goat". 8 out of 10.
