Turkey's Blliigghhtted have returned with a new album that shows the band going into an epic occult black metal direction and this is a review of their 2015 album "Kosmokampf" which was released by Merdumgiriz.
A very dark and heavy distorted guitar sound starts off the album along with some drum beats and after a minute deep yet grim black metal screams make their presence known on the recording along with some operatic clean singing also being utilized at times and the solos and leads also bring a very raw yet melodic sound to the music.
All of the tracks are very long and epic in length and when the music speeds up it has more of an old school black metal vibe along with a great amount of blast beats and some of the slower riffs also bring in a touch of doom metal and the guitar riffs also bring in a great amount of dark sounding melodies and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
On this recording Blliigghhtted goes into a different direction than their previous recordings going for more of a pure occult black metal sound that is very heavily rooted in the early 90's the production sounds very dark, raw and old school while the lyrics cover Sumerian Mythology and Occultism themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding album from Blliigghhtted and if you are a fan of occult black metal, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "In Absu's Absent Presence" and "Nepheshous". 8 out of 10.
