Terrestrial Hospice are a band from Poland that plays a very old school, nihilistic and misanthropic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2020 album "Indian Summer Brought Mushroom Clouds" which will be released in June as a joint effort between Shadow And Regain Records.
Grim yet high pitched black metal screams start off the album while the faster sections of the songs also bring in a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking which also gives the music more of a raw feeling. A small amount of melody can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing.
A lot of the music is also very heavily rooted in the 90's second wave era while the songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. Distorted static is also added in certain sections of the recording along with a couple of the tracks also being very long and epic in length and as the album progresses a brief use of synths can also be heard.
Terrestrial Hospice plays a style of black metal that is very raw, old school, misanthropic and nihilistic sounding. The production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover hate, destruction, nihilism and misanthropy themes.
In my opinion Terrestrial Hospice are a very great sounding old school, nihilistic and misanthropic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Please Accept my Own Personal Condolences" "Come Join The Parade" and "Crucifixion Of Anthropocentrism". 8 out of 10.
