Eyjafjallajokulll are a band from Brazil that plays anti-nationalist, raw black metal and this is a review of their 2013 ep "Donasdofamatastos" which was released by Dipsomaniac Records.
"Iaod" which is the first song on the ep opens up with distorted, raw and primitive sounding black metal guitar riffs along with drum beats in the background that are very hard to hear and there are no vocals present on the song with the musical being all instrumental.
"Donasdofamatastos" which is also the title track on the ep begins with soft acoustic guitar playing and a minute later fast, raw and primitive black metal guitar riffs kick in along with some drums as well as adding in some grim screams along with a brief use of deep growls and the song closes with acoustic guitars.
"Quasb Netaab" starts up with slow black metal guitar riffs and drums and a few seconds later goes into a faster direction along with blast beats and grim screams as well as a small amount of deep demonic growls and then the song starts alternating between slow and fast parts as well as adding in a brief use of acoustic guitars.
"Balzizras" kicks in with raw black metal guitar riffs and drums and after a minute and a half the music goes into a more fast direction along with some blast beats before adding vocals in and then the song starts to alternate between mid paced and fast parts.
"UI" which is also the last song on the ep begins with some raw and primitive black metal guitar riffs that go into a faster direction a few seconds alter along with blast beats and then alternate between mid paced and fast parts and there are no vocals present on this song with the music being all instrumental.
Song lyrics are written in Brazilian and cover anti nationalist themes, while the production has a very raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Eyjafjallojokull are a very great sounding raw, anti nationalist black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRASCKS INCLUDE "Donasdofamatastos" and "Balzizras". RECOMMENDED BUY.
