This is another review of a demo from Faded Grave with the musical style being an instrumental, old school black metal with elements of ambient and the recording is called "Revival Of The Darkest Seeds" and was released in 2013 by Cvlminis.
"The Awakening Of The Specter" which is also the first song on the demo opens up with dark ambient sounding synths and bells and the song is all instrumental and serves as an intro for the demo.
"Astral Turbulence" brings in the heaviness with heavy guitar riffs and drums and after a couple of minutes it goes into a more fast black metal direction along with some blast beats for a few seconds and then slowing down again.
"Andromeda" begins with slow and dark guitar riffs and they start getting a little bit more heavy and melodic as the song moves on along with some dark ambient sounding synths being utilized in the background.
"The Destroyer" kicks in with some old school black metal guitar riffs and drums and a minute later you can hear synths being utilized in the background and halfway through the song the music speeds up and goes into a faster direction along with some blast beats and the song closes with nature sounds.
"In Desolation, Embrace Loss" which is also the last song on the demo begins with drone style sounds along wit h elements of dark ambient and stays in this direction for its entire eight minutes.
Song themes cover darkness and occultism, while the production has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion this is another great sounding demo from Faded Grave and if you are a fan of instrumental black metal mixed in with elements of ambient and experimental, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Astral Turbulence' and "The Destroyer". RECOMMENDED BUY.
