This is another review of a recording from Myrridin which goes more into a dungeon synth and does not have the black metal elements like the previous demo reviewed with the album being called "Glomung Ofer Se Weald" and was released by Akousmatikoi Underground in the year of 2008.
"Prologue" brings the album in with dark ambient synths and nature sounds.
"To Behold An Ancinet Kingdom (Glomung Ofer Se Weald I)" the first official song on the album opens up with dungeon style synths and a dark atmosphere along with a variety of being different keys coming out of the songs and after 5 minutes you can hear some sounds of burning fire and then going into a variety of many different sounds.
"Epilogue" begins with nature sound before adding in some depressive dark ambient synths which are also very epic, atmospheric and powerful sounding and after awhile programmed drum beats can be heard in the background.
"The Court Of The Elder Star-Finders (Gloming Ofer Se Weald II)" starts up with atmospheric sounding synths which also add in elements of ambient and classical to make the music a lot more dark and epic in sound as well as utilizing a variety of many different sounding keys during its 12 minutes.
"Spectral Path Of Ascension" which is also the last song on the album opens up with dark sounding synths which bring an atmospheric and ambient sound to the song and this track is a lot shorter than the previous ones reviewed.
The music is all instrumental so there are no lyrics, while the production has a very dark and powerful sound with most of the songs being long and epic in length.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Myrrdin and if you are a fan of dungeon synth, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "To Behold An Ancinet Kingdom (Glomung Ofer Se Weald I)" and "The Court Of The Elder Star-Finders (Gloming Ofer Se Weald II). RECOMMENDED BUY.
