Entfremdung are a 1 man band from the United Kingdom that plays a musical style described as being raw, communist occult black metal and this is a review of his self released 2013 and is also his second demo.
Intro + Our March" which is the intro and first song on the demo begins with dark ambient sounds and a minute later raw black metal guitar riffs and d rums kick in along with some vocals that are mixed down very low in the mix but you can tell they are screams at times and the song does not go slow or very fast.
"Hymn" opens up with fast, raw and primitive sounding black metal guitar riffs and drums and a few seconds alter it goes into a mid paced direction along with screams before speeding up again and adding in blast beats and then alternating between mid paced and fast parts.
"Kalt Krig" which is also the last song on the demo opens up with dark ambient noise sounds and a few seconds alter spoken word samples are added in and there are no black metal elements to be found on this song.
Song lyrics cover Occultism and Communism themes, while the production has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it along with the last song being very long and epic in length.
In my opinion Entfremdung are a very great sounding raw, communist, occult black metal project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Hymn". RECOMMENDED.
