This is a review of another recording from Sathanas Urine with the musical style being a mixture of black metal, doom and noise and the demo is called "Everything You Need to Know About Witchcraft" and was released by Dipsomaniac Records.
"Starkblast" which is also the first song on the demo begins with distorted noise sounds from guitars before going into slow doom metal riffs along with drums shortly after that and the song is all instrumental.
"The Goblin Spell" opens up with fast, raw and primitive black metal guitar riffs and drums which also utilize some blast beats along with some screams a few seconds alter t hat are mixed down very low in the mix and then the song goes into a slower direction and a couple of minutes later there is a brief use of melodic clean singing and towards the end the drums speed up.
"The Frozen Wizard" begins with heavy guitar riffs and drums along with some melody being thrown into the riffing and a minute later black metal screams start to kick in and the song sticks to the same riffs throughout.
"Dead Men Bones Devourer" starts up with fast black metal guitar riffs and blast beats along with some grim sounding high pitched screams before slowing down a bit and going into a more mid paced direction.
"A New Horizon" comes in with distorted guitar riffing along with some drums a few seconds later which also leads up to black metal vocals and after a couple of minutes elements of harsh noise are added into the song with the guitars that also combine them with black and doom metal and towards the end there is a few seconds of clean singing being utilized.
"An Ode To The Side Of Darkness" which is also the last song on the demo begins with heavy doom metal style guitar riffs along with drums and black metal vocals a few seconds later and the song maintains the same pace until the end and halfway through the sogn t here is a brief use of clean singing.
Song lyrics cover occult themes, while the production has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it with the bass guitars being mixed down low in the mix as well as the songs being very long and epic in length.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Sathanas Urine and if you are a fan of black metal mixed with doom and noise, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Goblin Spell" and "A New Horizon". RECOMMENDED BUY.
