Mistet Fjell are a 1 man band from India that plays an avant garde form of black metal and this is a review of his 2012 ep "Dette Kval Ikke Ende" which was released by Imperial Damnation Records.
"Beautiful Drug Trip Of A Homicidal Maniac" which is also the first song on the ep opens up with dark ambient drone sounds along with some drum beats and you can also hear a small amount of guitars in the background and then the music adds in grim black metal screams and during the last minute the music returns to being dark ambient.
'Dark Creatures From Subterranean Caverns" begins with avant garde drone sounds before adding in slow guitar riffs and fast drums which also lead up to some grim black metal vocals and then the drum beats start coming in and out.
"Her Lovely Rotten Cadaver Gives The Fragrance Of Daffodils" starts up with distorted guitar riffs and drone sounds before adding in fast drum beats and grim black metal vocals as well as the drums coming in and out and the song closes with the drone sounds.
"Sacrificing For Satan" which is also the last song starts out with drone style guitar riffs before adding in drums and black metal vocals and then the song continues the same direction that is also present on the other songs.
Song cover crazy, dark and satanic themes, while the production has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion Mistet Fjell are a very great sounding avant garde black metal project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Beautiful Drug Trip Of A Homicidal Maniac" and "Sacrificing For Satan". RECOMMENDED BUY.
