Kadak are a band from Iowa that plays a prehistoric form of experimental black metal and this is a review of their 2011 ep "Kav Mtl' which was released by Dipsomaniac Records.
"I" opens up the ep with tribal sounds and distorted noises and you can hear some black metal vocals in the background as well as some cave man chanting and the song is only 2 minutes long before going into the next song.
"II" begins with slow primal guitar riffing along with some drums as well as caveman chanting and distorted sounds and as the song moves on small amount of melody creep in along with the music utilizing more black metal elements as well as getting more diverse as time goes on by and the vocals also have a melodic tone to them at times
Song lyrics are not really utilized on the ep, while the production has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it with the last song being very long and epic in length.
In my opinion Kadak are a very great sounding experimental cave/black metal project and if you are looking for something different, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACK "II". RECOMMENDED BUY.
